Charlotte Flair: Is she in the conversation for the greatest female wrestler ever?
Last night at the WWE Hell in a Cell pay per view Charlotte Flair defeated former Smackdown Women’s Champion Bayley for the WWE Smackdown Women’s Championship.
By winning the title this made Flair a 10-time WWE Women’s Champion, the most reigns of any female WWE Superstar in the history of the company.
Charlotte Flair is a 4-time Raw Women’s Champion, a 5-time Smackdown Women’s Champion and a 1-time WWE Divas Champion.
With this victory Michael Cole & Corey Graves on commentary began to start the conversation of “is Charlotte Flair the greatest female WWE Superstar of all time?”.
It is a question that holds merit. No other female superstar has had more Championship reigns than Flair and the daughter of “Nature Boy” Ric Flair has been at the forefront of the Women’s Revolution in WWE. But is she on the same level as the likes of Trish Stratus, Lita, Alundra Blayze and Mae Young?
Athletically she may be on another level but is it about more than that and Championships?
Flair certainly has a lengthy career still ahead of her to which she may prove any doubters wrong as to why she should be considered the greatest.
Only time will tell.
