Companies: Cody Rhodes
In this edition of Companies, we take a look at some of the major companies that Cody Rhodes has competed in during his professional wrestling career.
Cody Rhodes signed a developmental deal with WWE in 2006. He initially reported to Ohio Valley Wrestling (OVW) in May 2006. Rhodes would then make his WWE on-screen debut on July 2, 2007 in a segment with Randy Orton and his father “The American Dream” Dusty Rhodes. On July 16, 2007 Cody Rhodes would then face Randy Orton in his debut match on Monday Night Raw in an losing effort. Over the 10 years in which he competed in WWE Rhodes would compete in a variety of stables, factions, tag teams and rivalries.

- WWE World Tag Team Championship – 3 Times – with Hardcore Holly (1) and Ted DiBiase (2)

- WWE Tag Team Championship – 3 Times – Drew McIntyre (1) and Goldust (2)
In mid-2014 Cody Rhodes would be repacked in a new gimmick called Stardust, similar to his brother Goldust. However, in May 2016 Cody Rhodes would become frustrated with WWE’s creative process, especially his Stardust gimmick. He would request and eventually be granted his WWE release on May 22, 2016.
Ring of Honor (2016-2018)
Cody Rhodes would make his ROH debut at Ring of Honor’s Final Battle pay-per-view on December 2, 2016. His Ring of Honor run would last two years with his final match challenging Jay Lethal for the ROH World Championship at Final Battle 2018, losing the match.
During his ROH Career Cody Rhodes accomplished the following achievements:

Impact Wrestling (2016-2017)
Cody Rhodes debuted for Impact Wrestling on October 2, 2016 at Bound for Glory with his wife Brandi Rhodes attacking Mike Bennett and his wife Maria. His run with Impact Wrestling would be short lived however, on the March 30, 2017 episode of Impact Wrestling Cody faced Moose for the Impact Grand Championship in an losing effort. Cody and Brandi Rhodes’ contract would end with Impact Wrestling shortly after.
New Japan Pro-Wrestling (2016-2019)
On December 10, 2016 Rhodes, billed as “The American Nightmare” Cody, appeared on NJPW World Tag League finals via video package, announcing himself as the newest member of the Bullet Club. Rhodes would then make his NJPW debut on January 4, 2017 defeating Juice Robinson at Wrestle Kingdom 11 in the Tokyo Dome.
Cody Rhodes’s last NJPW appearance was at Wrestle Kingdom 13, where he lost the IWGP United States Championship to Juice Robinson.

National Wrestling Alliance (2018)
During May of 2018 Cody Rhodes and The Young Bucks announced they would run an independent wrestling show named “All In” on September 1, 2018 at the Sears Centre Arena. At the event Cody Rhodes defeated Nick Aldis to win the NWA Worlds Heavyweight Championship. The championship reign would be short lived however, with Rhodes losing the NWA Worlds Heavyweight Championship to Nick Aldis at the NWA 70th Anniversary Show on October 21, 2018.
All Elite Wrestling (2019-present)
On January 1, 2019, Cody Rhodes unveiled a new promotion, All Elite Wrestling, in which he, along with The Young Bucks and Kenny Omega would serve as Executive Vice Presidents and on-air talent.
At their inaugural pay-per-view event on May 25, Double or Nothing, Cody defeated his brother Dustin Rhodes in a terrific match. Cody would also compete in the inaugural match on the inaugural episode of AEW Dynamite on October 2, 2019 defeating Sammy Guevara.
