Edge INJURED at WWE Backlash? | Out for the rest of 2020? | Future plans?
It has been revealed that Edge suffered an injury during the taping of “The Greatest Wrestling Match Ever” at WWE Backlash 2020.
Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful.com was the first to break the news of The Rated R Superstar’s injury prior to Backlash going on the air last night. It has yet to be confirmed by WWE or Edge himself, but it is being reported that the WWE Hall of Famer may have suffered a torn triceps.
While the severity of the tear and prognosis is still unknown, it has been suggested that Edge could miss the remainder of 2020 and be out for between 4-8 months.
Some have suggested that Edge may have suffered the triceps injury during the reshoots of the singles match against Randy Orton at Backlash. However, with Edge losing the match to Randy Orton after The Viper hit The Rated R Superstar with a punt kick, this may be the perfect opportunity to write Edge off of WWE TV.
It is unknown when Edge will return to a WWE ring, however, many are hoping that the WWE Hall of Famer will be healthy enough to return to the ring by WrestleMania 37 in 2021.
