Nakamura vs Reigns – Intercontinental Championship
Tonight on Friday Night Smackdown on FOX, Shinsuke Nakamura defends the WWE Intercontinental Championship against Roman Reigns.
Emanating from the Bankers Life Fieldhouse in Indianapolis, Indiana could we see another Championship change hands on Friday Night Smackdown for the third consecutive week?
After a confrontation on Twitter between Intercontinental Champion Shinsuke Nakamura’s mouthpiece Sami Zayn and The Big Dog Roman Reigns, it was subsequently announced that a Championship match would take place on the live broadcast on FOX.
After this week’s shocking announcement that Bruce Prichard has replaced Eric Bischoff as the Executive Director of Friday Night Smackdown on FOX, could WWE be attempting yet another title change to boost the ratings on Smackdown after falling by 1 million viewers last week?
In addition to this, with Brock Lesnar as WWE Champion on a limited schedule deal, could WWE be reverting to type by putting a secondary championship, such as the Intercontinental Championship, on a top babyface, such as Roman Reigns, as they have done in the past to elevate the title whilst Lesnar is not participating on shows and events?
Who do you think will leave Indianapolis as Intercontinental Champion?
