On this day 20 years ago, WWE Unforgiven 1999 emanated from the Charlotte Coliseum in Charlotte, North Carolina.

In the main event Triple H defeated The British Bulldog, The Big Show, Kane, Mankind and The Rock to win the vacant WWE Championship in a six-pack challenge. Stone Cold Steve Austin served as the special guest outside enforcer for the match.

The WWE Championship was vacant as Vince McMahon defeated then WWE Champion Triple H on the September 16, 1999 edition of Smackdown. However, on the following episode of Monday Night Raw, Mr. McMahon vacated the Championship and announced the six pack challenge for the upcoming Unforgiven pay per view.

In the match Steve Austin attacked The British Bulldog with the chair and counted the pin fall for Triple H to make him the new WWE Champion, his second reign with the WWE Championship. After the match, Triple H taunted Austin with the WWE Championship belt, causing Austin to hit Triple H with stone cold stunner.

What are your memories of this match?
