The Fiend vs The Demon: A WrestleMania Dream Match?
After The Fiend made his intimidating WWE in-ring debut at SummerSlam he destroyed Finn Balor.
Balor would then take some time off to get married and heal up from the relentless WWE schedule. However, many questioned why Balor did not tap into his “Demon” gimmick at the biggest party of the Summer to combat such a bizarre and violent entity like The Fiend.
However, due to the WWE creative team knowing that The Fiend would be used to write Balor off TV for a period of time it wouldn’t make any sense to blow such a big match at SummerSlam with no follow up.
Picture this, the grandest stage of them all, the granddaddy of them all, the showcase of the immortals, a sold out stadium, WrestleMania. The mesmerizing entrance of The Fiend Bray Wyatt, followed by the captivating entrance of “The Demon” Finn Balor.
WWE is all about creating WrestleMania moments and this certainly would be one. The story is already built in and the entrances alone would be worth the price of admission.
Will WWE go in this direction? It’s too early to say and if history gives us any indication, WWE makes their mind up on certain WrestleMania matches mere weeks before the event itself.
